What is your current role, and what brought you to work at VIAVI?
In my current role I focus on channel marketing operations. I came to VIAVI as a contractor to oversee our MDF (Market Development Funds) Program and eventually was hired in a full-time permanent position. My role has evolved over time to include Point of Sales reporting for our global channel partners, as well as Sales Support. Both the great team members at VIAVI and the opportunity to assist in the building of VIAVI’s Channel Program are what intrigued me to join the organization.
How do you help customers, and what is your proudest moment?
I support our partners and channel team in using their Market Development Funds (MDF) and Point of Sales Reporting. I love that I get to interface with Accounts Payable, Finance and Channels to support our partners’ efforts in growing their VIAVI business. Being a behind the scenes operations person, my goal is to ensure partners are supported in their MDF efforts by helping with their VIAVI interactions, and more specifically in receiving prompt MDF payments and overall support.
My proudest moment happened when I helped my team successfully initiate a payment to a partner in Latin America. This particular issue involved tricky communication between several banks, accounts payable and partners. My steady dialogue with long standing partners and strong relationships throughout the ecosystem helped alleviate the situation. I pride myself in giving this level of customer service every day to help our Channel Managers which in turn helps forge stronger relationships with our partners leading to increased sales.
What would people be surprised to learn about VIAVI?
VIAVI is a true organizational melting pot! We are a team of many companies merged over time through acquisitions and of course linked by many countries. In my time here I’ve formed many friendships with people across the globe, even though I’ve not yet met many of them in person. The strong relationships I have are a true testament to the positive work environment I have experienced here at VIAVI.
