Tell us a little bit about yourself and your current role at VIAVI?

I hit the ground running at VIAVI back in August 2015 to work with the team designing, developing and testing the VIAVI Velocity Partner Portal and CRM application.  Five years later the systems have changed but VIAVI’s dedication to continue to build better applications for both our sales and partners has remained steady. As a Global Channel Operations Analyst, I am a dedicated team player with foundational interpersonal and communication skills engaged in guiding our partners and channel teams using Microsoft Dynamics, the Velocity Partner Portal and Oracle Business Intelligence Partner reporting.

I enjoy the day-to-day challenges of never knowing what each day will bring which keeps me on alert at all times! I often tell my family and people I meet outside of VIAVI how fortunate I am to meet so many people and learn about many different cultures around the world while working. Each project I am part of has had the best of the best professionals that are multi-talented and treat each other with respect and kindness. I never imagined I would have built so many friendships in my business career and with many more years to go.

I am most proud of having an active role leading the channel team in the successful launch of  project “Phoenix” supporting the modules that make up the VIAVI Partner Center. In the VIAVI Partner Center our master distributors and solution partners submit deal registrations, create MDF Co-Op requests and claims, manage leads and opportunities, download pricebooks and build out business plans with their channel managers.  Our new CRM and PRM portal on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 has simplified our business applications to make it easier for partners to do business with VIAVI.

Tell us about your favorite hobby and what skills or qualities it enables you to bring to your role at VIAVI.

I enjoy baking with my daughter, gardening, taking photographs of nature, walking our energetic Vizsla and bicycling. I spent six years at a previous company in a sales role with a quota before joining the operations side of the business which has given me the ability to see things from the user perspective when engaged in a project or request to support a new enhancement. Sometimes my teammates call me the “Sherlock Holmes” of the channel team because I use my analytical skills to diagnose problems and propose effective solutions.
