How long have you been with VIAVI, and what do you do here?
I currently work in VIAVI’s APAC region on the TAC (Technical Assistance Center) team. Working as a support engineer draws on all areas of my engineering and skills training from technical, mechanical to customer service and more! I have officially been working for VIAVI since 2012 and each day brings new and exciting challenges to work on with my team supporting our customers.
Describe the best part about how your role positively impacts customers and/or partners?
What I find rewarding regarding my VIAVI experience is the ability to work hand in hand with our Channel Partners as well as the end customers in resolving all technical issues that occur. Some of the issues that our end customers face can be excruciatingly challenging. Key skills I use every day include listening, communication and of course flexibility. Solving technical issues takes patience and perseverance!
After working extensively through and resolving an issue, nothing beats the satisfaction and appreciation that is expressed by the customers. This is especially the case if the issue is truly impacting their ability to perform their tasks, keep operations running or growing their business.
What do you think sets VIAVI apart from other global solutions companies?
In my mind, what sets VIAVI apart is the culture of teamwork that has been forged from our upper management team down to our local teams. The culture that has been set in place, enables us to work across multiple teams in multiple regions with the singular focus of providing the best service we are able to, for our customers.
