A Step Forward: VIAVI NITRO AIOps Goes Live in TDC NET Systems
January arrives with a different kind of energy. The decorations are packed away, our stomachs have had their pick, pace is steadier, and the attention starts turning from celebration to intention. It is also the time for fresh starts and setting the foundation for what comes next. In this spirit of renewal, TDC NET enters the new year with renewed optimism, building on its successful go-live of the NITRO® AIOps platform in the Telco Data Center domain on December 1, 2025, and setting the stage for expanded AIOps adoption across additional network domains.
The go-live marked a key milestone in TDC NET’s multi-year transformation program, bringing advanced operational intelligence into daily production for Denmark’s leading digital infrastructure provider.
What began as a complex transformation effort involving multiple teams and technologies has now become a fully operational system supporting real network activities while lowering costs and increasing agility.
With this in motion, TDC NET is spearheading an evolution with infrastructure operators to provide best connectivity and enable the transition towards highly automated OSS operations. This program is a cornerstone in enhancing customer experience and optimizing both IT and operational service costs.
A milestone built through careful preparation
In the hours leading up to the activation, engineers from TDC NET, VIAVI, and Infosys completed a final round of verification checks, validating data flows, cross-system connections, and operational dashboards. VIAVI platform was live, stable, and performing exactly as expected. With the platform running smoothly to date, the engineering team has been able to focus on BAU, instead of having to deal with a challenging transition.
This moment signifies much more than just deploying a tool or a platform. It is the moment when AIOps starts making a real, everyday difference for the operations team dedicated to maintaining the health, reliability, and performance of TDC NET’s digital infrastructure.
“Partnering with VIAVI and Infosys, TDC NET is setting a new pace for innovation. This deployment brings automation and intelligence into our network, helping us move towards our journey of autonomy faster than ever.”
Carsten Rasmussen, TDC NET – Head of IT Enablement & Motion Program Director
A clear step toward leaner, more efficient operations
One of TDC NET’s strategic objectives in its transformation journey was to simplify and modernize its operational tool landscape. With the introduction of NITRO AIOps, several legacy tools will be retired over time, enabling leaner processes, reduced complexity, and meaningful OPEX efficiencies.
As these legacy systems are phased out, the program will generate measurable cost savings and significantly simplify the operational landscape.
VIAVI NITRO AIOps platform deployed in a fully cloud-native model ensures not only the best possible OPEX over time, but also that the agility of TDC NET’s internal containerized environment is fully utilized.
For the network and service operations team, this consolidation translates into fewer interfaces to manage and frees up time to move beyond reactive firefighting towards preventive discovery, automated remediation, and continuous optimization. All to make sure that networks remain stable, resilient, and performing at scale.
“The successful deployment of VIAVI NITRO AIOps at TDC NET demonstrates the power of partnership. Through this collaboration between TDC NET, VIAVI, and Infosys we are setting the stage for building process efficiencies and integrating automation and AI into their systems. VIAVI is proud to be part of this partnership and remains committed to support their vision of a future-ready network”
Per Kangru, VIAVI Solutions – Head of Technology, AIOps
Collaboration at the center of success
Behind the scenes, the go-live reflects months of close coordination between the three primary organizations and multiple other third-party integrations. Infosys as the systems integrator played a central role, ensuring that data, workflows, and processes across multiple platforms came together seamlessly into one operational environment.
Working as a single team, TDC NET, VIAVI, and Infosys jointly conducted integration trials, troubleshooting sessions, iterative test cycles and training and mentoring sessions – all of which contributed to the smooth transition into live operations today.

Setting the stage for the next chapters
With NITRO AIOps now live in TDC Telco Data Center domain, the foundation is in place for the next phases of the transformation. All the integrations follow TM-Forum interfaces and adhere to the ODA framework, allowing for the subsequent evolution towards L4 autonomous operation.
In the coming months, additional network domains will be onboarded and more layers of automation will be introduced, guided by operational insights and co-engineering between the teams. Upcoming phases will extend coverage to fiber access including FTTH, metro and core, microwave, HFC, and IP routing domains.
Today’s achievement confirms that the roadmap is progressing as planned and that the ecosystem supporting it is strong, aligned, and capable of delivering at scale. More importantly, it marks measurable progress in TDC Net’s Autonomous Network (AN) journey, advancing from assisted operations towards higher AN level enabled by intelligence, closed-loop automation, and continuous optimization.
This milestone also demonstrates a proven, reliable blueprint through which VIAVI can help network operators accelerate their own transition to autonomous, intent driven operations.

Congratulations to the teams at TDC NET, VIAVI, and Infosys who made this milestone possible. The successful activation of NITRO AIOps marks the beginning of a more efficient, more intelligent operational future for TDC NET, and an important moment in Denmark’s broader network evolution.
