Tell us a little bit about yourself and your current role at VIAVI?
After graduating from Penn State as an Electrical Engineer over 31 years ago, I took a position in Technical Sales at VIAVI and have never looked back.
For the past 20 years, I have been in Large Account Management – currently as the Executive Account Manager for the Verizon Wireless segment of the Verizon Account Team. I am responsible for removing all barriers to enable my team to more effectively support our customers. This involves everything from ensuring we are developing the most effective solutions to meet customer needs, creating the proper support framework including training and services and integrating this within the customers ordering and support systems seamlessly.
In my 30+ years, one of my favorite projects was definitely when my team became an integral part of Verizon Wireless’ Ethernet Backhaul Rollout over a several year period. From working proactively with them to develop effective turnup and troubleshooting procedures, to rolling out in-depth training programs and providing the portable equipment, systems and software to be successful, we worked together every step of the way. When your customer tells you they could not have done it without you, you know your team really made a difference. That was the best feeling in the world!
Tell us about your favorite hobby and what skills or qualities it enables you to bring to your role at VIAVI.
I am very into physical fitness and do everything from HIIT workouts, Pilates, yoga and weightlifting, to my favorite activities which are all watersports including slalom skiing, wakeboarding and wake surfing. I am very competitive and bringing this quality to my role at VIAVI has enabled my team to provide the best solutions to Verizon Wireless – in turn making them more competitive in the marketplace.
